I’m sure lots of you remember playing with little toy cars as a child. We would choose our favourite toy car from our large collection and by using our hand, make it move super fast, while yelling, “Zoooom!”, as it quickly slid across the kitchen floor.
Since those toy car playing days, many children and some adults dream about becoming a Race Car Driver. Let’s face it, the need for speed is exhilarating and the mere thought of getting up everyday to race super fast cars, well, saying that it would be “cool” would be an understatement.
Year after year many supercars have been produced, but there is only one car in 2017 that has the speed, which outranks them all, and can legally sport a license plate.
You may be thinking that the fastest 2017 car was made by one of these well-known car brands, Bugatti or Ferrari, but that is not the case.
This outstanding, high performance sports car is not only beautiful to look at, but also has the speed performance loved by many. Powered by a Twin-turbocharged LS7 V engine and 6-speed Ricardo manual transmission it can produce a top speed of 270mph.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, we thought you should also know it has an average acceleration time of 13.63 seconds.
The anticipation of the car’s name is most likely getting to you now, so we won’t hold off any longer. The fastest street legal car of 2017 (drum roll please) is the 2017 Hennessey Venom GT.
Not only is it the fastest car, but Hennessey only built 29 Venom GTs, which also makes it one of the most exclusive.
This high performing super car made it’s debut in 2011, but it soon may be driven out of the number one spot for a newer vehicle was unveiled this year.
On November 1, 2017 during the Shell “Pioneering Performance” experience at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the newest fastest street legal car was shown to the world — The Hennessey Venom F5 with a top speed of 301mph. It is expected to be produced in 2019.
Until then, the 2017 Hennessey Venom GT is the fastest street legal super car that’s super easy to love!
